Revolver (Super Deluxe)

One of the watershed moments for the Beatles, a Paul storytelling song with strange instrumentation for pop music of the time, it was the first of its kind, a kind that would become more and more common moving forward.

A signature John song, ahead of its time, the chorus sounds like it could’ve come out last year, and the backwards guitar part is classic Beatles experimentation.

One of the best in their entire discography. It’s the only song John ever complimented and for good reason.

One of the best guitar solos in their discography, and Ringo’s drumming is almost a hip hop precursor.

Not my favorite on the album, but you cannot doubt the innovation with the sitar.

Another ahead of its time pop song, this album just seems to be full of them. The guitar part is unbelievably catchy and “tell me that you’ve heard every sound there is” is equally so.
