Are We There 2014

Afraid of Nothing

I love how soft and slow this one is. Sets a great tone for the rest of the record despite how different each song is! 😎

Taking Chances

This album reminds me of 2014 so much. Gee I wonder why! This song really gives me that feeling. Something about her tone on the chorus and how she takes her pauses and knows her actions. Class quality grade 😎

Your Love is Killing Me

This one makes me feel like I’m trapped in a machine and slowly being squeezed to death by my own decisions. Sweet!😎😎

Tarifa

This song reminds me so much of my dear friend who killed herself in ‘25. It was the same time I got my dog, and when I was watching Twin Peaks. I watched Sharon Van Etten sing on The Return in March, two months after my friend died. I was still hurt and raw and numb as I still am now. I hadn’t heard this song before, but I listened to it 200+ times that month. I think I could listen to this song forever and never get tired. I have a lot to think about. Rest in peace my friend! 😎❤️

Our Love

I love how this one starts. We’re a half-mast flag in wind! This might be one of my favourite albums. Sharon Van Etten you beautiful soul! 😎

I Love You But I'm Lost

You love me, but you’ll change. I love you, but I’m lost! Shazza is lining something into these songs - I think it’s raw emotion and maybe some crack.😎😎

Nothing Will Change

Lovely chorus! Nothing will change. It’s like crawling up a chimney while soot falls on you- but that crack of light at the top is keeping you going! Maybe something will change! There she is 😎❤️

Every Time the Sun Comes Up

This song is like standing on the beach while the sun rises and singing and dancing and clapping and loving your life and your friends and yourself. This is how we should all be! Are we there?? 😎😎
