Fast Forward

Very very sad to hear about the passing of Juan Atkins, the Originator, godfather of techno. One of the Belleville Three, Juan was a genuine pioneer in that he was the first to arrange synths, drum machines and turntables into what at the time was unheard of, being techno. If you’ve heard of 303s and 909s, he was one of the first to make real tracks with them. People shunned him but he knew what he was creating was special. He paved the way for so many genres and has left an undisputed legacy as one of the genuine goats of modern music. Such a shame but what an incredible impact :( 🤍
