I spent some time in the Balkans and these captured the mood pretty accurately during runs along the Danube. Cold, wet, foggy. I’d run to the most remote outdoor gym I could find and work out in the dark before walking back, gazing somewhat glumly across the river, overshadowed by large apartment blocks as the city dogs would occasionally trail me.
