This record was honestly so special to me for so many months. When I originally recorded it, it was a 3 track vocal chain over a beat (made by Vinh Beats) I stumbled across.. I sent it to my engineer and he was like ‘damn this is the one we running with’.

The songs is a reflection of everything up until this point music wise. About putting myself in the spotlight and learning to love being there rather than pushing everyone and everything else there. It’s also about supporting those who have helped me through this journey and my growth as an artist (and short comings as a person) - there’s a line in here that states “I don’t make entertainment” and I stand by this line. I make art. Always have and always will.

A few weeks into mixing I travelled back home and started stressing cause I didn’t have content ready for it.. I promptly got my sister to get some clips done for me it was a really fun night - I curated a look for myself and the song before hand and decided to keep that consistent throughout the whole marketing process of the single. 

The first shoot with my mate quincy was a disaster (he nearly drove a car into me XD) but it was still fun as always. The second went really well. The third I decided to interview around 100 people and get there response to the song, out of those 100 people only around 4/5 people turned around and said they didn’t like the single , it wasn’t there taste but it was still a quality record (which is to be expected) but still it really motivated me to push this song to its absolute limits cause I really do believe in it. 

I always knew the song has a lot of potential but wow it came out today and the reception has been amazing. I’m excited to put out the music video and the rest of the content I have planned.

I really think this is a start of a new chapter for me music wise - it’s time to fully break the box people put me in and push my sound. I’m so greatful for everyone involved and everyone listening <3
