SINNER

track 01
Picture this. Your 16 in one of the nicest recording studios in New York. You’re a bit high and going through your catalogue for the sound engineer (which is now my only audio engineer - S/O Lucho who’s supported me since day one). I play 30 seconds of a year old song and he instantly stops me and tells me, ‘that’s the one, we gotta do that’…

The record was originally made at my pops old place in a tiny little room (sorry pops for screaming the place down). I feel like it’s a record artists of my stature wouldn’t really touch and that’s what excited me about it, at this point (of releasing the record) I had been publicly releasing for a while, my brother in law and one my other best mates seemed to hate everything I put out but this record was something for them. I mean every time I posted something music related I’d get a message saying ‘Drop Sinner’ , high school was coming to a close and I managed to get the record together over my preliminary exams in time for graduation…

It was finally time. I decided to use my graduation day and the weekend before to get some content with my usuals (Theo & Quincy) I’m so greatful these guys followed me around with a camera I can’t even lie. It was such a fun experience and the night itself (graduation night) is kinda burned into my psyche - I’m glad I got a video of the whole thing. I feel like it matches the record perfectly.

I eventually got it out and got it played on some global radio stations I’m proud to say the record just recently broke and 10k streams! I got about 100 t shirts made and I planned to sell them before I left for London but ended up giving them away to mates - I still hand these out every now and then. My mate who really pushed me to release the record just wore it to the club and that gave me a great feeling i can’t lie.

Anyway the record itself was just a young braggy rendition of being a punk ass kid, standing out and not really being scared to be myself.
