Temple Of The Dog

Temple Of The Dog, tribute band for Andrew Wood, is essentially Pearl Jam plus Chris Cornell. A supergroup before the group itself, Hunger Strike is a fantastic song of raw emotion showcasing early Vedder vocals paired with quintessential Cornell power and talent. Unlike Audioslave or Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog has that more spacey, fluid sound that Pearl Jam captured. Guitar riffs ride high over in-the-pocket drums, that weave from simple fills to jamming power rolls. Vedder kills the long held notes in the choruses as Cornell comes in to add even more depth to a fantastic song for their deceased friend.
