Tusk

After Rumours, Fleetwood Mac made the most expensive rock album anyone had recorded.

They spent about ten months on it at the Village Recorder in Los Angeles, in a studio built to their design, and it cost around $1.4 million. Lindsey Buckingham made many of his songs alone at home, playing everything, once using a tissue box as a snare drum. Tusk sold four million copies. Rumours had sold ten million by early 1978.
