Fleetwood Mac

Peter Green named Fleetwood Mac after his drummer and a bassist who hadn’t joined yet.

Green formed the band in London in 1967 as a blues group, with Mick Fleetwood on drums; John McVie joined a few weeks later. Green left in 1970, and Christine McVie joined the same year. In 1975 two Californians, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, came in, and the band became one of the best-selling in the world.
