Jeff Buckley
Jeff Buckley met his father, the singer Tim Buckley, only once.
He was eight; a few months later Tim died, at 28. He grew up as Scotty Moorhead, with his stepfather’s surname, and took the name Buckley after his father died. In 1991 he sang at a tribute to his father in a Brooklyn church. He drowned in the Wolf River in Memphis in 1997, aged 30, while making his second album.
