Tear Your Heart Out (Deluxe Edition)

i’d describe this album as lo-fi folk, if that’s considered a genre (though i don’t really care, to be honest). i mentioned this one last week when i was talking about oscar lindsey and so i decided it’d be a good time to come back to this album, and i think this was the right decision. it’s fall, so i’ve been listening to fall-like music and this really emanates that fall feeling. i’ll talk about other music in winter (probably). but anyways, most of the songs on this album sound the same, and that’s not really a bad thing because the formula is a good one but if there’s a standout track, i’d consider it this one. or maybe river ain’t safe. or maybe barn burnerrr too. whatever. have a listen. thanks.
