Car Seat Headrest

Will Toledo self-released twelve albums before he was 22.

Out of high school at 17, he started putting albums on Bandcamp, with no band and no shows. He named the project after where he recorded vocals: the back seat of a car. At 19, alone at college, he made Twin Fantasy. Matador signed him in 2015, and in 2018 he re-recorded Twin Fantasy with his band.
