- The One With The WurlitzerAmerican Football I fucking love this song bruh it’s so smooth and the solo gets to shine so well. it sounds so soulful and pleading and is such a great ending and conclusion to the album. Ends it off so perfectly in theme with the album, so hopeful. 2nd favorite prob 9.6/10
- Stay HomeAmerican Football i like this song a lot for its lyrics i think they’re pretty thoughtful. but i love the part in the beginning of the song, it’s like their easing us into the song, the whole song flowing like water, like a river with curves and bends cuz it one instrument or beat change at a time so each instrument or beat change really gets a chance to shine and show how they contributed to the song. I like how the voice is smooth and isn’t harsh he’s singing quietly and hushed it’s wonderful goes really well with the rate of the rythmn really mellow song. Outro of the song too like it just slowly burns out and all of the instruments feel so empty and quieter, until you don’t even notice they left and got quiet. 8.1/10
- I'll See You When We're Both Not So EmotionalAmerican Football I like this song for how fast paced it is and how the guiltars sound on the crisp percussion. Amazing lyrics too they are so real for me i fucking love them, def one of my favorite songs lyric wise. it switches up the rythm and the pace so often too, so exciting to listen to. drum breakdown at the end too was tuff
- But the Regrets Are Killing MeAmerican Football I like how fast paced and hurried the pace of beat is. And then completely changing at the climax of the song. Its a rolling rythm and it feels smooth. I like how well both the guitars compliment each other too really nice. song makes me feel pretty happy. 8.5/10
- You Know I Should Be Leaving SoonAmerican Football I love this instrumental, they really let every instrument to shine, respecting each one of them. It’s very bare bones and simple not much going on and a melody slow enough so can actually hear every instrument properly. So so beautiful I love the choice of not putting lyrics on there. 9.1/10
- For SureAmerican Football I love the trumpets in the beginning they really ease you into the song, it’s the same theme of introducing the beat and the rythm of the song gradually. the lyrics are about him wondering if that the relationship is doomed and it won’t work out and he tries to picture a life w her. 8.2/10
- Honestly?American Football i really like this song. I like how jaunty the guitar and brassy and deep it is. the voice sounds really reminiscent, and frustrated. I think the song is about how his ex’s love is the only thing he can remember about his former years. And the second nonverbal half of the song is his grief or frustration about this matter poured into the instruments. This might be one of my most favorite parts of the whole album. The insane instrument solo that just keeps building and growing. The guitar literally gets a solo here it’s like it’s singing. The vocals really respect and tribute the guitar as an instrument at the second half. 9.2/10
- The Summer EndsAmerican Football 2. The summer ends Probably my least favorite song on the album, It gets a little quiet and sounds a bit too easy and flowy, maybe because the drums are really quiet in the first half of the songs. Dont hear any cymbals either which now makes sense why i like this one the least. Bonus points for the song being about the end of summer, i think it might be one of the songs with the best lyrics out of the whole album. 7/10
- Never MeantAmerican Football my favorite song of the album. The percussion is so uplifting and the cymbals are nice and crisp def my fav part about this albums music they have such a crisp cymbal. It eases you into the album so nicely. Literally perfect intro it can’t get better than this. And i like how there’s an interlude in the middle of the song and they let the instruments play by themselves. Perfect lyrics too they’re so real. 10/10.
