She's a Handsome WomanPanic! At The Disco “i wasn’t born to be a skeleton” yay arthur rimbaud. the guitar riff is delicious. the harmonies are yummy. one time i listened to an isolated vocals track and i ascended.
I Have Friends in Holy SpacesPanic! At The Disco this is a silly song but absolutely deserves to be on the album. the way it fades into northern downpour is kinda haunting
She Had the WorldPanic! At The Disco i think ryan ross should be put in jail for these lyrics actually. fifteen year old me should be put in jail for the way i related to them.
Northern Downpour - Live at Congress Theater, Chicago, IL, 2008Panic! At The Disco the very opening notes brendon plays on guitar here play in my head constantly. so much beauty and sadness. “i love you”.
God of WineThird Eye Blind just finished reading jane schoenbrun’s first novel public access afterworld and this album was mentioned in it. holy shit. we can’t get back again.
DemolitionFontaines D.C. the start of this song sounds like a phone alarm i used to have and therefore deeply unsettles me
Happy For YouFontaines D.C. absolutely love the dynamics and tension in this song, might be one of my favourites so far
MimesisFontaines D.C. your indifference won’t make me disappear
It's Almost HalloweenJon Walker i recently saw jon live in manchester (insane). got to chat to him afterwards and all i could manage to say was how much i love this song, think this made him really happy
Ulterior MotivesWho's Who even after the ridiculous origins of this song have come to light, something about it still unnerves me. it sounds like just another cheesy 80s song, but i’ll never forget listening to that muffled audio that nobody could identify for so long. i’ll always associate this antiquated, ‘lost’ feeling with it, always sense something lingering that i can’t logically explain… anyways this is the inspiration for the playlist and the NOTED! issue coming out very soon!! https://notedmag.com
